Updated | By Suné du Toit
Hillary Clinton has called Donald Trump to concede in the race to the White House.

That means, in a stunning upset, the 70-year old Trump will become the 45th President of the United States of America.
Supporters of Hillary Clinton in New York were told to go home, after gathering at the party's headquarters the whole night.
Her campaign team said she will not be addressing her supporters today.
Meanwhile, Trump told his cheering supporters in Manhattan that Clinton congratulated all of them and he, in turn, congratulated her on her campaign.
"Hillary has worked very long and very hard for a long period of time and we owe her a major debt of gratitude for her service to our country," says Trump.
